Yoga
The word “Yoga” comes from the very ancient Sanskrit word “jug”, which means “to link, to unite”, notably the mind and the body. The process of Yoga tends to unify the human being, by giving him access to the his inner self, through sophisticated and codified exercises of the body.
Born in India, more than 5000 years ago, Yoga can be practiced by itself, with or without a spiritual dimension to it, as an highly beneficial physical activity. However, Yoga is at his best efficiency, when integrated in the holistic approach of Ayurveda, with meditation, massages, detoxification and healthy diet.
In fact, our guests are welcome to enjoy the facilities of our other properties.
At Les Elephants, ranging from classical Hatha Yoga to the rigorous asanas of Iyengar Yoga, we provide Yoga classes at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, through a series of focused training sessions by devoted trainers.
We also provide comprehensive Ayurvedic packages, including adapted Yoga sessions, as well as individual Yoga programs elaborated according to our Ayurvedic Doctor’s prescriptions.
Ayurveda
In Sanskrit, “Ayur” means life, and “Veda” means science, or knowledge. “Ayurveda” can be translated by “knowledge of life”. Deeply rooted in Indian traditions, Ayurveda is considered as the oldest holistic medicine in the world.
The Ayurvedic philosophy is to treat the patient, rather the illness. A large part of Ayurveda is also dedicated to a preventive approach of health, trough various programs of detoxification.
With one of our packages, or after a personalized diagnostic, our treatments include dietetic, phytotherapy, ayurvedic massages, meditation, breathing exercises and yoga programs, in order to help you regain, and maintain, the balance between your body and your mind.
And if you just wish to indulge yourself by booking a relaxation massage during your beach holidays, our team will be as well entirely dedicated to fulfill your wish.
At Les Elephants, we believe that health, wellness and happiness are inseparable, as should be the body and the mind.
Meditation
When the medicinal aspects of Ayurveda aim to detoxify and fortify the body, meditation is like detoxification and reinforcement of the mind.
Trough the practice of guided meditation, our trainers will help you free your mind from all the stress and tension induced by our modern hectic lifestyle, and discover peace and clarity by reconnecting with you inner balance.
